THE PROJECT
The project
involves three phases, over a period of nine months:

research. Places of public interest include: natural landscape,
historical and cultural sites (e.g. Wetland Park , farmer's market,
urban parks, villages, monastery, heritage sites and green architecture),
environmental education, culture and design, renewable resources,
sustainable development, etc. )
Design –
The map covers the entire Hong Kong region
with focuses on the metropolitan area. It is presented in the format
of a printed map and a webpage. An educational kit summarizes the
mapmaking experience for public references.
Publish
– A total of 80,000 copies
distribute publicly, and send to schools, as well as environmental
and cultural organizations. An exhibition is held in the form of
public art display.
Green Map Hong Kong puts together
different aspects of sustainable development, regardless of themes,
disciplines and scopes. The aim is to rediscover the many natural
and cultural resources, to have a new understanding on the surrounding
environment, and in return, to promote a harmonious and multi-faced
